Trip to Diveagar Beach

Diveagar Beach, located in the Shrivardhan taluka of Raigad district on Maharashtra’s coastline Konkan, is a serene and beautiful place. It is approximately 190 kilometers from Mumbai and 160 kilometers from Pune, making it easily accessible.

I went to Diveagar Beach with my friends from Pune, where we work at the world-renowned software company IBM. The road from Pune to Diveagar Beach passes through hilly terrain. After a journey of about 5 hours, we reached Diveagar Beach. We had breakfast near the beach.

After parking our car in the parking area, we crossed the coconut trees and went to the beach. The beach looked very beautiful. Compared to the busy coastal areas of Goa and Mumbai, Diveagar Beach is less crowded and more serene. The special thing about Diveagar Beach is that it is quite long and filled with greenery. Here, many young people were seen dancing to the fast beats of music playing from group cars.

We enjoyed playing in the sea waves for a long time. Watching small children play with sand, we also joined them in this activity. I made a Shiva Ling by sand.

Near Diveagar Beach, there is a 1000-year-old Rupnarayan Temple, which is very beautiful to see. Made of red stones, this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The special feature of the idol installed in the temple is that it is made of black stone. The beauty of the temple complex is enhanced by the large number of coconut trees. There is also a spiral well and lamp pillars here that are worth seeing. We had a good time here.

After exploring Diveagar Beach and its surrounding areas, evening had begun to set in. The view of the sunset over the Arabian Sea shores is spectacular. Watching the sun sink into the Arabian Sea from Diveagar Beach was a delightful moment. As the sun was descending into the embrace of the Arabian Sea, the crimson hue of the sky was intensifying. The waters of the sea were shimmering like pearls. It was very enjoyable to see many fishing boats coming to the shore.

After sunset, we headed back to Pune, cherishing the beautiful memories of Diveagar Beach in our minds. The time spent here became a very memorable moment. We have seen many beaches, but very few are as serene, beautiful, and peaceful as Diveagar Beach.

For people living near Mumbai or Pune, visiting Diveagar Beach on weekends is a good option. Take some time out from the hustle and bustle of city life to spend moments of tranquility here. The other nearby places of Diveagar Beach are Nandgaon Beach, Kashind Beach and Murud Janjira Fort.
